I've been hosting a personal website now for several years, ever since personal web sites started popping up on the Internet in fact. It seemed like the thing to do. I thought it would be fun to display different portions of some of my earlier sites as a way of visiting my recent past and sharing those things that I felt were important at the time. On this page I will alternate parts of my older websites every now and then. |
2001 California Tour - Originally Posted

During the Summer of 2001, I officially kicked off what I termed "The Summer of
Ray." I did a heck of a lot of traveling that summer just for fun to
celebrate the completion of my second masters degree. One of my trips
included the 2001 Summer California Tour during which I flew back to Los
Angeles, visited my cousins in Bakersfield then met with friends in LA, went to
Disney's California Adventure (didn't that fit in well with the theme of the
trip?) then drove up the coast with my friend Kevin to San Francisco where I
visited more family, made my first trip to the Castro, and many other extremely
cool parts of the Bay Area, including the Muir Woods Forest. It was quite
the adventure most of which is documented in the photos on this page.
Although I have been to California many times since I was a small baby to visit
my mother's family, this was my first solo trip out there and what a trip it
was. California is just an amazing state which I will visit many more
times in the future.

2001 MHR Graduation - Originally Posted

A few years ago I graduated from with my Masters in Human Resources (MHR) from
the Rollins College Hamilton Holt School. It is hard to believe that was
three years ago now. It was a great program and I miss it in many
ways...maybe not the papers and group projects. I was fortunate to meet
some great people through the program.

Florida AIDS Ride 2 -

Currently displayed is the original site I built back in 1997 to promote my
fund raising efforts for the Florida AIDS Ride. I thought this would be
especially appropriate to be the first site I pulled out of the archives since
it was this event that inspired me to create my first site. I used it
during the 6 month period of January - May of 1997 to raise money, track my
training and share my experience on along the way. You may go to any of

Just for fun, I wanted to show prior photos from my marathon weekends. In
January 2001, I ran my 4th Disney Marathon. Here are photos from that
event and finish line photos from the 1998 - 2001 events.

Multimedia File Archives
I've made a couple of multimedia files (really just
slideshows to music) of some of my vacations and events. Below are two
originally posted in 2003. One from the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend
in January of 2003 and the second from my trip to the California Bay Area during
the summer of 2003 for my mom's 60th birthday celebration.
